About The Position

Specialisterne’s Neurodiversity Hiring Initiative with Goldman Sachs is available to applicants who self-identify with specific neurodivergent labels (Autism, ADHD/ADD, Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability, OCD, Tourette Syndrome), have experienced employment barriers related to their neurodivergence, and are open to receiving workplace support from Specialisterne. This role is a 9-week internship with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment, both of which are fully in-office. The internship is located at 2001 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75201, and candidates should be within commutable distance. The role requires the ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship. The internship runs from Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, with a target start date in August 2026. Requirements

  • Self-identify with one or more of the following neurodivergent labels or identities: Autism (including Asperger’s and PDD-NOS), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Learning Disability (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), Intellectual Disability, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette Syndrome.
  • Have experienced barriers to finding and/or maintaining employment related to their neurodivergence.
  • Are open to receiving workplace support from Specialisterne.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Intermediate data management skills using Microsoft Excel (such as transferring information, using formulas such as VLOOKUP, and creating charts/graphs and pivot tables).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • The ability to take initiative and work efficiently.
  • An interest in valuation and finance/accounting.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Alteryx or other BI skills.
  • Accounting or Finance degree.
  • Experience (professional, personal, or academic) with Loan Syndication, Asset Servicing, Cash Management, or Project Management functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to a trading desk, manage loan lifecycle events processing, learn about trade flow from start to finish, and apply knowledge for exceptions management.
  • Recognize and act upon changing economic and market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, and the impact of evolving technology to assess operational risks.
  • Work with trading counterparties, including internal teams, clients & their custodians, and other financial institutions to properly handle escalations and flag high-risk issues to management.
  • Use Critical Thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions for corporate loan servicing specific issues, contributing to strategic decision-making and enhancing organizational efficiency.
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities and projects, and to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Maintain awareness of industry initiatives and market trends in the loan market that can impact business objectives and provide opportunities to improve processes.
