About The Position

The Perinatal Quality Collaborative of North Carolina (PQCNC) is a statewide organization working in 62 North Carolina hospitals to transform perinatal healthcare. PQCNC focuses on statewide quality improvement initiatives, spreading best practices, fostering partnerships with families and patients, and optimizing resources. PQCNC is seeking an enthusiastic and determined Initiative Manager with expertise in perinatal health, clinical quality improvement, public health, or medical anthropology. This full-time, EHRA non-faculty position will involve assisting in the development, organization, and execution of statewide quality improvement projects impacting 10-60 centers. The Initiative Manager will collaborate with Lead Clinical Physicians, the PQCNC core team, and Expert Teams. The role reports to the Program Manager on a day-to-day basis and directly to the PQCNC Director. A key responsibility is coaching and facilitating up to 60 hospital and clinic quality improvement teams. This support includes monthly calls to review progress, discuss current measures, design tests of change (PDSAs), and develop methods to assess and spread impact. Relocation to North Carolina is required within 6 months for candidates outside the state. Attendance at quarterly in-person learning sessions and site visits is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Quality improvement training and QI experience.
  • Professional expertise, communication skills, and quality expertise to assist in the development, organization, and execution of statewide quality improvement projects.
  • Ability to conduct regular communication with hospital teams via email, phone, web conferencing, and in-person visits.
  • Capability to assess hospital and clinic performances based on performance data and team input.
  • Ability to support hospital teams in achieving the clinical goals of individual initiatives.
  • Required to relocate to North Carolina within 6 months of hire date if not currently residing in the state.
  • Attendance required at quarterly learning sessions in person and for site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, organization, and execution of statewide quality improvement projects.

  • Develop methods to assess the impact of changes and facilitate their spread within facilities.
