About The Position
The Loan Officer (referred to in the posting as Financial Consultant I) helps credit union members with loans, accounts, and financial solutions. The role builds member relationships and provides personalized service and financial guidance through in-person, phone, and digital interactions. It assists members with consumer loans, home equity products, credit cards, and other solutions from application through funding; supports account services; recommends products based on member needs; and helps members use online banking and self-service tools. The role follows applicable policies, procedures, and regulations and protects member information. Employment is contingent upon a background check and bondability.

Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, personalized service to members in person, over the phone, and digitally, with a focus on building trust.
- Assist members with consumer loans, home equity products, credit cards, and other loan solutions from application through funding.
- Open new accounts, update existing accounts, and ensure accuracy in member transactions.
- Identify member needs and recommend suitable credit union products, referring members to specialists when needed.
- Educate members about their options so they can make informed financial decisions.
- Help members navigate online banking and other self-service tools.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulations while protecting member information.
