About The Position

The Loan Officer/Branch Manager manages and maintains efficient and effective branch operations to support profitability and achievement of bank goals. The role generates, approves, and services a personal loan portfolio, with an expected portfolio size over $2,500,000. It also supervises branch staff, develops business, serves customers, supports compliance, and contributes to community and bank programs.

Requirements

• Loan origination experience is required.
• Five or more years of similar or related experience.
• General computer and typing experience, including Microsoft Office Suite applications Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read extensively as needed.
• Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise branch staff in selling and servicing bank products and services for prospective and existing customers.
• Identify, solicit, and develop new branch business by calling on current and prospective customers.
• Open deposit accounts to meet customer needs.
• Generate, approve, and service a personal loan portfolio suited to the branch market and its customers.
• Maintain contact with loan customers regarding past-due loans and collect those loans.
• Participate in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and enhance business opportunities.
• Conduct branch meetings.
• Manage building maintenance functions.
• Prepare production reports for management.
• Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory issues, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, Fair Lending Act, and Regulation E.
• Complete required compliance training and adhere to the bank's standard of conduct.
• Act as backup for Relationship Bankers and CSRs.
• Participate in the bank's High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
• Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
