Requirements

  • 1+ years mortgage experience preferred (LOA, mortgage assistant, transaction coordinator or similar) — though, we will train the right person who brings reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication
  • Comfort working with technology, email, and digital files
  • Ability to manage tasks and stay organized in a fast-moving environment
  • Positive attitude, coachability, and a desire to learn
  • A work history that demonstrates commitment, reliability, and growth
  • NMLS License is not required to apply — but will be a requirement for the role, Fairway will sponsor.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service, real estate, finance, or administrative experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client-facing communication and help gather documentation for prequalification
  • Assist borrowers through the application process and help coordinate next steps
  • Track loan-related items and ensure files stay organized and on schedule
  • Maintain accurate notes, checklists, and follow-up tasks
  • Support team operations during meetings, events, and high-volume periods
  • Provide administrative and customer service support to ensure an outstanding experience
