About The Position

The Loan Manager plays a key leadership role in growing and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio while ensuring strong credit standards. This position supports the oversight and performance of the Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Retail Lending departments, contributing to strategic direction, operational efficiency, and staff development. The role involves guiding loan officers in managing complex credits, resolving problem loans, and developing products and marketing strategies to drive loan growth. Additionally, the Loan Manager participates in customer relationship management, supports training and development of lending staff, and helps establish and enforce loan policies, procedures, and risk grading standards. The position also contributes to organizational goals by promoting sound lending practices, maintaining regulatory compliance, enhancing the bank’s competitive position, and supporting community and economic development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in lending, typically around 10 years
  • Strong knowledge of loan administration, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance
  • In-depth understanding of lending practices, accounting principles, and banking regulations
  • Ability to analyze and structure complex credit transactions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and develop staff effectively
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Sound judgment in risk assessment
