About The Position

RCB Bank is seeking a VP, Loan Officer responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring new loans, and maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. This role involves representing the Bank in community affairs and participating in marketing all of the Bank’s products. The position supports the Bank's strong relationship banking culture through ongoing customer contact and superior product knowledge, aiming to maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing and fee income. The role also includes daily review and approval of overdrafts and negotiating loan terms based on risk considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Formal Credit training
  • Ability to understand basic cash-flow analysis using tax returns, Financial Statements, Balance Sheets, Income Statements or Profit & Loss Statements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment in decision making
  • High proficiency in problem solving
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members and the public

Responsibilities

  • Monitor an existing loan portfolio consisting of both consumer and commercial credits, ensuring proper risk ratings and anticipating potential problems.
  • Source, develop, and underwrite new loan relationships and cultivate existing loan relationships.
  • Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loans with fee income through originations, selling of credit life, and referral of all bank products.
  • Daily review, approval, and disposition of overdrafts.
  • Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations, and present to appropriate levels of authority for approval.
  • Support the Bank’s strong relationship banking culture through ongoing customer contact and superior product knowledge.
  • Represent the Bank with active participation in community affairs.
  • Participate in marketing all of the Bank’s products.
