Become a VP Commercial Loan Officer at Royal Credit Union! Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field or equivalent business lending work experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Commercial Lending experience
  • Must be bondable
  • Valid Driver’s License and maintain it
  • Insured vehicle
  • Advanced commercial lending expertise, including credit analysis, financial statement analysis, loan structuring, portfolio management, collateral review, and environmental due diligence, with the ability to make sound, risk-based lending decisions.
  • Strong business development, relationship management, and sales skills, with a proven ability to generate new business, expand existing relationships, and identify cross-sell opportunities across lending, deposit, and treasury services.
  • Highly developed analytical and critical thinking abilities, using financial data, trends, and qualitative insights to evaluate risk, support recommendations, and make confident, timely decisions in complex situations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to clearly articulate financial concepts, influence stakeholders, present to committees, and build trust with Members, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and adaptability skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment while embracing change, new technology, and continuous improvement.

  • Specific banking and commercial lenders education (i.e. Graduate School of Banking, Robert Morris Commercial Lending Courses, CUNA)

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing a complex portfolio of diverse, quality, and profitable commercial and commercial real estate loans and deposits, and treasury/cash management services.
  • Loan production including business development, networking, and relationship management.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with COI's, existing member networks, community leaders, and other partners.
  • Analyzing and evaluating loan applications and making appropriate recommendations regarding product offerings, loan structuring, pricing, and approval.
  • Participating in overall credit/risk management, portfolio management, and servicing of assigned portfolio.
  • Ensuring compliance with lending policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with other Royal Team Members to help meet Members' specific commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, and deposit and treasury/cash management needs.
