About The Position

As a representative of OMB Bank, the Loan Assistant helps expand the bank’s brand recognition and market presence by engaging community members and customers who may benefit from its products and services. The role works cooperatively with one or two lenders and provides support to other lenders as needed. It assists interested and current borrowers throughout the loan life cycle, from application documentation through closing and ongoing support for renewals, draws, and payments in commercial and agricultural lending. The Loan Assistant works directly with banking support teams to provide outstanding customer service and applies knowledge of commercial loan structuring and funding. With a focus on relationship banking, the role identifies and cross-sells additional bank products and services that benefit customers and supports other activities needed for efficient banking center operations.

The position is based at 1200 W Dallas St., Buffalo, Missouri 65622. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekends may be required based on loan volume. Compensation combines a base salary with incentives based on loan production and job performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of loan and/or loan processing experience.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Effective multitasking and organizational skills.
• Willingness to proactively cross-sell bank products and services.

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years of banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with one or two lenders and provide support to other lenders as needed.
• Support interested and current borrowers throughout the loan life cycle, including documentation from application to closing.
• Provide ongoing borrower support for renewals, draws, and payments in commercial and agricultural lending.
• Work with banking support teams to provide outstanding customer service.
• Apply knowledge of commercial loan structuring and funding.
• Identify and cross-sell bank products and services that benefit customers.
• Support and perform other activities required for efficient banking center operations.
