About The Position

The role of the Loading Dock Supervisor is to complete the customer interaction in a pleasant and courteous manner while ensuring safety. To assist in the oversight of the loading docks, and that all policies are being followed.

Requirements

Ability to effectively maneuver around various locations both inside and outside while engaging in, bending, prolong standing, running, and prolonged sitting and in all weather conditions.
Ability to receive medical and/or security clearance for one or more locations
Possess the manual dexterity to operate basic garage equipment, including pay on foot machines and garage barriers
Strong sense of customer service
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push a minimum of 200 pounds
Be at least 18 years of age
Be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction
Maintain uniform standards while around account

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with coaching/mentoring/training employees preferred
Previous management experience preferred

Responsibilities

Make exceptional guest experiences the priority in every interaction.
Contribute to a safe environment for all guests and employees per company and site-specific guidelines.
Maintaining a ready to serve posture that is welcoming to guests.
Make eye contact and smile to all guests to acknowledge them.
Prioritize assisting guests before other tasks.
Working efficiently, without rushing, to assist guests.
Use VPNE preferred word choices while speaking with guests.
Enforce all VPNE and site policies.
Assist with training new employees.
Coach employees on best practices.
Log in all deliveries to the loading dock.
Provide traffic control, parking enforcement and access to the building for all loading dock areas.
Clean the dock areas using brooms, dust pans and the floor scrubber.
Sort, scan and deliver packages to the tenants.
Available to work rotating OT shifts on Saturdays.
