About The Position

Reagent Chemical & Research, LLC. is seeking a full-time Loader to join their growing team in Okeene, OK. This position is on 1st shift and requires 40 hours with possible overtime and weekend coverage. The Loader will be responsible for transferring liquid hazardous chemicals, inspecting equipment, monitoring terminal yard conditions, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role also involves learning process knowledge, troubleshooting issues, providing communication, exhibiting leadership, and taking ownership of the facility's operations. The Loader will record data, utilize plant data control systems, and support maintenance activities. They will also provide ideas for improvement and evaluate the facility's operating status to ensure product integrity and timely transportation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to listen to sounds of running engine and trailer, pumps, compressors and pressures vessels to detect possible faulty condition and/or operation.
  • Regularly required to sit and to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift above shoulder level, twist torso; climb to heights on a ladder to 32 feet, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear product movement in loading and unloading systems.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and often lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years’ experience in loading or monitoring the movement of hazardous materials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transfers liquid hazardous chemicals from tanks, railcars, trucks or pipeline to other vessels.
  • Inspects tanks, pipes, valves and control systems and submits report indicating condition.
  • Monitors the condition of the terminal yard and equipment to report conditions.
  • Handles equipment and product in such a manner as not to compromise ISO, DOT and other governmental certifications.
  • Accountable for personal safety, the safety of coworkers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Promotes an environment in which everyone is treated with respect.
  • Learns and retains process knowledge of the facility and process changes to site to enable effective operation and detection of unusual process conditions; uses knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to co-workers.
  • Exhibits personal leadership in daily activities, task planning, incident investigations, and work performance as they relate to Reagents key focus areas which include the following: safety, the environment, quality and reliability.
  • Takes ownership of the facility to ensure product transportation and storage results are satisfied and to ensure the site is maintained in proper operating condition.
  • Records data readings, utilizes plant data control systems, and observes process conditions on a continual basis to maintain good control of the facility.
  • Places systems in a safe condition for maintenance work, supports maintenance activities and communicates status to the facility supervisor and coworkers.
  • Provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including pipeline management, engineering, and maintenance to improve individual and unit performance.
  • May participate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and improving the work place environment.
  • Evaluates the facility's operating status and performs troubleshooting of process and equipment in order to ensure integrity of the pipeline and storage systems, and the timely, accurate product transportation to customers, suppliers and clients.
