About The Position

The Loader is responsible for loading customer orders onto carrier trucks accurately, on time, and without damage, and for properly documenting each trailer load. The position handles durable medical goods, including canes, wheelchairs, in-home hospital beds, and respiratory products. The Loader contributes to team performance in safety, quality, service, and people-focused goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Basic computer skills, including PC, MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), and RF scanners.
Ability to use material-movement equipment such as pacers and pallet jacks.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

SAP or Warehouse Management System experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately load trailers with customer orders.
Follow the daily checklist for trailers and equipment.
Operate an electric pallet jack or pacer to transport product to and from trailers and organize the dock floor.
Transport freight, stock, and other materials between storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
Use equipment to wrap and secure products to pallets.
Record the number of pallets handled or moved on load manifest sheets for trailer loads.
Maintain loading accuracy and use the proper Bills of Lading (BOL).
Verify orders are complete before shipping.
Communicate truck status with supervisors and other coordinators.
Use a banding machine to strap pallets when needed.
Participate in and promote a continuous-improvement environment.
Follow safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
