About The Position

S&W Ready Mix Concrete, a wholly owned subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking a Loader Operator for its Wilmington, North Carolina location. The role operates a front-end loader to move materials from stockpiles and may include oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal operating adjustments to equipment. The operator helps keep the plant, yard, and facilities clean and in good condition, including shoveling, washing, and minor repairs. The position supports the safe and efficient production of ready-mix concrete. Duties may include operating an automated computerized batching system, monitoring batching sequences and scale and gate accuracy, supporting inventory and maintenance activities, and helping ensure product quality and timely, safe deliveries. Requirements

Good written and oral communication skills.
Good computer skills.
Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Ability to supervise multiple employees.
Basic understanding of concrete characteristics and production.
Ability to travel within the delivery area to other plant locations.
Knowledge of safe operation of heavy equipment.
Knowledge of proper material handling practices.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
Ability to pass pre-employment processes, including a criminal background check, physical, and drug screen.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, extreme cold, and other outdoor environmental conditions; stand and walk constantly; climb and work from heights; and lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform job motions including climbing, stretching, driving or steering, sitting, twisting, and riding over rough terrain.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory experience.
Previous experience in the ready-mix industry.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

Responsibilities

Load material from stockpiles and perform routine equipment care, servicing, and normal operating adjustments as needed.
Maintain the plant in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition, including loaders and mixers.
Maintain the yard, including areas under tail pulleys and wash racks; perform housekeeping such as shoveling, washing, and minor repairs.
Produce ready-mix concrete safely and efficiently using an automated computerized batching system.
Maintain a consistent batching sequence and monitor scale and gate accuracy.
Ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and service.
Help ensure deliveries are made promptly, safely, and efficiently.
Assist with monthly inventory.
Assist the maintenance team with plant repairs as needed.
Travel between sites or to other plant locations as needed.
