About The Position
The Part-Time Loader Operator I operates heavy equipment and trucks, sets up equipment in auction yards, and helps customers during and after auctions. The role also supports vehicle check-in and other yard staff responsibilities as needed, while contributing to a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy machinery.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- A track record of working safely and helping others work safely.
- Ability to relate well with customers and team members.
- Ability to work as part of a team and help wherever needed, while also self-starting and working independently.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- High level of attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate a large 36,000 lbs forklift.
Responsibilities
- Operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks.
- Help set up equipment in the yard for auctions.
- Help customers load their equipment purchases and answer their yard-related questions.
- Take personal responsibility for safety and support the safety of the team, co-workers, and customers.
- Learn and assist with vehicle check-in tasks as needed.
- Support and assist with Yard Staff responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
