About The Position

Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the warehouse facility. General warehouse duties are performed within the assigned area of warehouse operations, while supporting all areas of the warehouse as needed. The position handles merchandise using manual and powered equipment, verifies and processes merchandise, replenishes pick areas, fills store orders, and loads outgoing merchandise. The role also requires meeting safety, productivity, and quality standards and reporting damages or vendor compliance issues.

Requirements

Communication skills sufficient to communicate with co-workers, understand and provide directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit.
Ability to learn the use and operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
Ability to maintain annual certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred.
Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment.
Check, verify, and audit merchandise to confirm it was received as ordered and is not damaged or defective; enter data into a remote data terminal.
Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
Replenish pick areas based on replenishment reports and requests for merchandise.
Fill store merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise from pick slots to a conveyor.
Load outgoing merchandise from a conveyor and/or four-wheel truck into trailers.
Report damages and vendor compliance issues to a supervisor.
Partner with a supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
