Loader Dock Person- Recycle-Springfield (3:30 am-11:30am)
About The Position
Responsible to work with Loaders in loading, reloading and unloading route delivery trucks and semi-trailers accurately at an efficient rate as determined by management. Sort and destroy all BD&L. This role involves the physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment, assisting Loaders in building customer orders, operating industrial power equipment, and staging completed pallets. The position requires manually lifting and moving product for restocking and repacking, adhering to safety and manufacturing standards, and meeting productivity requirements. Maintaining an orderly and clean work area, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing the recycling area are also key responsibilities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- One (1) year general work experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports and work instruction.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries.
- High degree of ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Certified Forklift License for lift operation.
- Clear MVR Record.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry and/or move from 10 to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
- Repetitive use of the hands/arms/shoulders required in completing required work.
- Bend and rotate at the waist 45 degrees with full are extension while lifting up to 45 pounds at a rate of 9 times per hour.
- Climb a mobile ladder having 5 steps while carrying weights up to 45 pounds up to 10 times per hour.
- Ability to climb into route trucks over 50 inches from floor level to remove pallets and products weighing up to 75 pounds to service up to 94 bays per shift.
- Full dexterity of hands, arms and wrists necessary to reach a height of 72 inches while removing cases weighing over 40 pounds from the top of the pallet several times per shift.
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift.
