About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Load Out Support in Stockton, CA. As a Load Out Support, you will inspect all railcars for cleanliness and report their condition and fitness for loading to the Control Room Operator. You will also seek assistance when cleaning railcars, inspect all trucks for bed cleanliness and tailgate tightness, and report any dirtiness or contamination to the Control Room Operator for further review and action. This role involves coordinating with truck drivers for safe and efficient loading of trucks/containers, participating in all mandated safety training and exercises, and cross-training with warehouse and pay-loader operators to act as backup. You will read, understand, and implement the Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual, assist in vessel discharges at the direction of the Facility Manager, and maintain the warehouse and terminal grounds in a clean, safe, and efficient manner at all times. Additionally, you will assist maintenance operators in maintaining all warehouse equipment and perform any other duties assigned by the Facility Manager, including cross-training and assisting with vessel discharges.

Requirements

• Warehouse experience
• Forklift experience a must
• MUST have a GED/ High School diploma or equivalent
• Warehouse Cleaning experience
• Able to work Overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed

Responsibilities

• Inspect all railcars for cleanliness and reports to Control Room Operator on their condition and fitness for loading
• Seek assistance when cleaning railcars
• Inspect all trucks for bed cleanliness and tightness of the tailgate
• Reports any dirtiness or contamination to Control Room Operator for further review and action
• Coordinate with truck drivers for safe and efficient loading of trucks/ containers
• Participate in all mandated safety training and exercises
• Cross train with warehouse operators and pay-loader operators and acts as back up to warehouse operators
• Read, understand and implement the Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job
• Assist in vessel discharges at the direction of the Facility Manager
• Maintain the warehouse and terminal grounds in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Assist the maintenance operators in maintaining all warehouse equipment in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Performs any other duties assigned by the Facility Manager, including cross training with other members of the terminal staff and assistance with vessel discharges
