About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Load and Performance Lead Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity where the selected candidate will provide performance testing capabilities for complex applications. The role involves working with stakeholders to design test cases, create performance test scripts using tools like LoadRunner or JMeter, and execute various performance scenarios.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a developer and/or performance architect
• Specialized Python programming skills
• Experience in programming languages such as C, Java, and SQL
• Well-versed in using VUGen 9.5 or greater for advanced test script development
• Understanding of web protocols including HTTP and Citrix
• Ability to use monitoring/profiling tools (Dynatrace, CA Wily Introscope, AppDynamics, AWR reports)
• Knowledge of Splunk for load test analysis
• Understanding of distributed load test environments and application architecture
• Knowledge of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end web performance measures
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with load management applications like LoanIQ (Finastra)

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a Performance Lead
• Write technical performance test plans
• Develop data-driven load test scripts using Citrix Protocol
• Use LoadRunner or JMeter to design and execute load and performance tests
• Lead data creation activities for required load tests
• Design and execute different types of load tests (e.g., load, failover, aging)
• Work closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure, and production support groups for defect triage and production planning
• Report findings according to a defined process
• Participate in and actively contribute to project/team meetings
