About The Position

Urban Health Plan is recruiting part-time bilingual English/Spanish LMSW clinicians for its Bronx-based Behavioral Health Department. The therapist provides individual psychotherapy to children, adults, and families, along with assessments, treatment-plan monitoring, counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with medical providers and clinical teams. The part-time commitment includes Saturday shifts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an additional weekday shift preferred based on availability. Weekday hours fall between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. The role is onsite in the Bronx, New York, and pays $50 per hour.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work.
New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license.
Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
Proficiency with evidence-based modalities and conducting one-on-one therapy.
Two years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

Complete documentation in accordance with regulations.
Monitor patients’ treatment plans.
Provide biopsychosocial and clinical diagnostic assessments.
Provide one-on-one psychotherapy to assigned patients.
Maintain clinical theory and practice skills and knowledge to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.
Counsel family members to help them understand and support patients.
Provide crisis intervention when necessary and refer patients or family members to community resources.
Provide consultation to medical providers.
Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs.
Participate in clinical team meetings.
