About The Position

The Live Streamer / Live Show Host is the on-camera face of Refreshed Tech, hosting live shopping shows across various channels to sell new and refurbished electronics and related items. The role involves hosting shows, selling inventory, educating viewers, and building a loyal community around the company’s products. It suits someone who enjoys performing, is comfortable on camera, and likes interacting with a live audience while driving sales in a fast-paced environment.

The position is based onsite at the Refreshed Tech warehouse in Dallas, Texas. Shows are hosted from a dedicated streaming/studio area alongside inventory. Work takes place indoors in an environmentally controlled environment, with little to no exposure to extreme environmental conditions or job hazards. Hosts should be able to stand for extended periods, typically 5–7 hours per show, and be available for a consistent weekly schedule that may include some evenings and/or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated on-camera presence.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills; confident, clear, and personable on camera.
• Comfort improvising, telling stories, and reacting in real time to a live audience.
• Comfort using mobile apps and basic streaming tools, and willingness to learn Whatnot-specific best practices.
• Reliable smartphone and internet connection sufficient for live streaming.
• Able to stand and host for extended periods, typically 5–7 hours per show.
• Available to livestream on a consistent weekly schedule, including some evenings and/or weekends based on the show schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales, retail, or customer-facing experience.
• Prior streaming, content creation, or performance experience.
• Prior experience hosting on Whatnot, TikTok Shop, or other live-selling platforms.
• Familiarity with consumer electronics and the refurbished technology market.
• Track record of meeting sales or audience-growth targets in a live-selling or content-creation role.

Responsibilities

• Host live shows on various channels to sell new and refurbished electronics and related items, following Refreshed Tech’s playbook and brand voice.
• Educate buyers about product features, quality, condition, and category trends.
• Respond to viewer questions and comments in real time and maintain energy throughout streams.
• Create an entertaining atmosphere that encourages viewers to watch, bid, and return for future shows.
• Collaborate with the owner and operations, inventory, and marketing teams on show concepts, run-of-show, and promotions.
• Build and retain a loyal viewer base by recognizing regulars, encouraging follows, and promoting upcoming streams.
• Meet agreed-upon performance goals, such as stream hours, sales targets, and new-buyer acquisition, and participate in feedback and coaching.
