Lifestyle Show Host
About The Position
The Lifestyle Show Host hosts a three-hour weekday lifestyle program, providing daily on-camera contributions and conducting interviews with guests and clients both in the studio and on location. The role includes preparing for the show on an early-morning schedule, researching topics and developing interview questions, and contributing to a fun, unscripted show environment. The host works with sales representatives on sponsored content, assists producers with booking non-paid guests, and builds relationships with guests, clients, community members, and contributors. Other duties include publishing show segments to the station website, keeping the show’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts updated, participating in promotional events, contributing to streaming programming, and completing special projects or other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a host or on-air personality.
- Energetic, positive, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
- Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with direction or assistance from the department manager.
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities, guests, and clients.
- Basic understanding of video editing systems.
- Solid understanding of TV studio production processes in live and recorded formats.
- Ability to work quickly and change direction with show content as needed.
- Knowledge of current events, popular culture, and compelling subjects.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of OBS or vMix.
- Experience with Akta/Anvato.
- Experience with Trello.
- Experience with WordPress.
Responsibilities
