A warm, welcoming family in Dallas is seeking a compassionate and dependable FULL-TIME LIVE-IN NANNY to provide dedicated support for their 11-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. This is a special opportunity for someone who is calm, optimistic, and energetic, and who finds genuine joy in showing up for a child in a meaningful and consistent way. The son is sweet, mild-mannered, and minimally verbal but communicates effectively. He loves spending time on the patio, rocking, humming, and watching nature. The family is looking for someone who will sit with him, encourage his growth, and meet him with patience and enthusiasm. A background in ABA therapy or special needs care is a bonus, but intuition, common sense, and heart are most important. The schedule centers around afternoon and evening hours, with about one hour of morning support for wake-up and school preparation. The core of the role begins at school pick-up at 2:00 PM, including therapy runs on certain days, snacks, pool time, play-based activities, bath, dinner, and a relaxed patio wind-down before a 9:45 PM bedtime. Flexibility is essential due to seasonal shifts with summer camps and school calendars. Occasional evenings, weekends, and date night coverage are expected. The family has a housekeeper and cleaning service, so this is not a heavy housekeeping role. Light household support, errand running, children's laundry, and keeping shared spaces organized are part of the day-to-day. The son follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet; while Mom typically prepares meals, comfort supervising and occasionally cooking within these guidelines is a bonus. The family has two small dogs, so comfort with pets is a must. The nanny will use the family's vehicle and must have a valid driver's license with a clean record. A valid passport is preferred for travel to California and Mexico. The ability to travel with the family is important. All candidates must sign an NDA and be current on routine vaccinations (TDAP, flu, COVID). Experience with children on the spectrum is preferred, but personality and approach are prioritized. Private bedroom and bathroom accommodations are provided. The family seeks a collaborative and communicative team member. This position offers $30+ per hour gross via payroll, paid sick days, paid holidays, paid vacation, and relocation assistance. The target start date is ASAP.
