A warm, welcoming family in Dallas is seeking a compassionate and dependable FULL-TIME LIVE-IN NANNY to provide dedicated support for their 11-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. This is a special opportunity for someone who is calm, optimistic, and energetic, and who finds genuine joy in showing up for a child in a meaningful and consistent way. The son is sweet, mild-mannered, and minimally verbal but communicates effectively. He loves spending time on the patio, rocking, humming, and watching nature. The family is looking for someone who will sit with him, encourage his growth, and meet him with patience and genuine enthusiasm. A background in ABA therapy or special needs care is a meaningful bonus, but intuition, common sense, and heart are most important. The schedule centers primarily around afternoon and evening hours, with about one hour of morning support for wake-up and school preparation. The core of the role begins at school pick-up at 2:00 PM, including therapy runs on certain days, snacks, pool time, play-based activities, bath, dinner, and a relaxed patio wind-down before bedtime. Flexibility is essential due to seasonal shifts with summer camps and school calendars. Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and date night coverage is expected. The family has a housekeeper and cleaning service, so this is not a heavy housekeeping role. Light household support, errand running, children's laundry, and keeping shared spaces organized are part of the day-to-day. The son follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet, and while Mom typically prepares his meals, a nanny comfortable supervising and occasionally cooking within those guidelines is a bonus. The family has two small dogs, so comfort with pets is a must. The nanny will use the family's vehicle and must have a valid driver's license with a clean record. A valid passport is preferred for travel to California and occasionally other states and Mexico. The ability to travel with the family is important. All candidates must sign an NDA and be current on routine vaccinations. A background and experience working with children on the spectrum are noted preferences, though personality and approach are prioritized. Private bedroom and bathroom accommodations are provided. The family is warm, collaborative, and communicative, seeking someone to become part of their team. This position offers $30+ per hour gross via payroll, paid sick days, paid holidays, paid vacation, and relocation assistance.
