About The Position
A professional family located in Sands Point, Port Washington, NY is seeking a live-in hybrid nanny/housekeeper to support their home and care for two young sons, ages 6 and 3. The father is an attorney with a demanding schedule, and the mother works from home full-time. It is important to note that this is a hybrid nanny-housekeeper role. The children attend school from approximately 8am until mid-afternoon, during this time, the nanny/housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the household. The family is seeking someone who can maintain the home during school hours and assist with after-school childcare. The family employs a monthly deep cleaning service, so the role focuses on maintaining day-to-day cleanliness and organization rather than on deep cleaning. The preferred schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with two consecutive days off per week. The family is hoping to find a candidate interested in building a long-term relationship with their household and becoming a consistent, trusted presence in the home as the children grow.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a private household
- Valid US work authorization
- Strong verifiable references
- Comfortable working in a busy professional household environment
- Open to occasional travel with the family
- Valid Driver's License with great driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification
