About The Position
A warm, active family based in Rumson, New Jersey is seeking an experienced, energetic, and genuinely child-centered full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages eight and six. This is a live-in position for out of state candidates with a beautiful private suite on the property. Local candidates have the option to live-in while working and then return home during off days. The family runs a busy, high-energy household and needs someone who thrives in dynamic environments and truly loves being present with kids. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm, approximately 40 to 50 hours per week guaranteed, with every Sunday and Monday off. The family is open to some flexibility on exact hours for the right candidate. This is a nationwide search and an excellent opportunity for a warm, dedicated nanny seeking a long-term role with a loving and invested family.
Requirements
- Legal to work in US
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Valid drivers license (a car is provided)
- Ability to live-in at-least 5 days per week
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Comfortable with pet care

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaged care for two school-age children, ages eight and six, Tuesday through Saturday with some flexibility for date nights
- School pickups, after-school activities (tennis, travel soccer), and play-date management- this is a tag-team effort with mom
- Calendar upkeep, scheduling appointments, and coordination with mom
- Collaborate with mom on menu planning, cooking and prep for meals and snacks
- Children’s laundry including ironing and ensuring clothes, shoes, and backpacks/sport bags are organized and presentable
- Grocery shopping, clothes shopping and errands as needed
- Provide a warm, watchful presence, supporting homework, play, and routines for two school-aged children
- Support family during domestic and international travel (packing, routines, transitions)
- Assist and care for the family puppy
- Support when there are vendors or other people at the property doing work
- Transition into supporting infant care if a newborn joins the family (anticipated December, surrogate pending confirmation); a newborn care specialist will be brought in separately during the infant period
