About The Position

Spurwink's program providing support to adults with intellectual disabilities has a unique position it is hiring for: live-in Therapeutic Couple or Single live in staff. The live-in couple/staff will do DSP work in a home, providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a live-in staff you will have regularly scheduled time-off, which can include weekends. You are provided with a private space within the home. In addition to providing a private living space, all utilities, groceries, and rent are paid for. The use of a company vehicle including gas during work time is available. Annual combined salary for a couple begins at approximately $144,000 and individuals begin at approximately $72,000. This can be higher depending on the schedule needs of the home.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license are required

Responsibilities

Perform duties of a DSP, direct support professional
Assisting with activities of daily living
Assisting with personal care
Assisting with medical management
Becoming a CRMA and passing medication
Maintaining the home/ residence of the clients
Assisting with meal management
Managing house credit card and maintaining agency assigned vehicle
Being part of a person-centered planning team and implementing personal plans
