Live-In Maintenance Technician

About The Position
Realstar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to live and work at one of their properties. This position requires the technician to reside on-site and work four weekdays per week, every second weekend, and be available for on-call duties some evenings. This is an existing vacant position within the organization. Realstar is a leading residential property management company with over 160 properties across Canada, known for maintaining clean, quiet properties and providing high standards of service.
Requirements
- Background in residential property management or related business experience (skilled-trade, handyperson)
- Strong customer service and selling skills
- Excellent communication skills to deal with residents, prospects, colleagues and trades
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs
- Aptitude for mechanical systems
- Demonstrated cleaning skills
- Ability to drive small vehicles, tractors, etc.
- Lift and push heavy objects 50-100lbs, including garbage bins, furniture and appliances
- Perform snow removal duties, sometimes for extended periods of time
