About The Position

Responsible for the day to day service maintenance of all building operating systems, within the residential portfolio. Operate within our standards of safety, high quality customer service and efficient operations. This is a live-in role, offering a unit on-site as well as the listed salary range.

Requirements

  • Minimum High school degree (Grade 12/13).
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently stop, bend, and kneel.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weight up to 50lbs.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduled day to day service maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and life safety for the residential operating systems.
  • Provide emergency maintenance and repairs for electrical, mechanical and life safety for the residential operating systems.
  • Complete the preventative maintenance checklist on a monthly basis for all properties and complete all work that can be done. Submit a copy of the report to the site, review all work completed and confirm any additional work that is required for follow up.
  • Monitoring and operation of the Building Automation System (BAS).
  • Check garbage chutes and compactor for functionality and perform repairs as required.
  • Take initiative in providing relevant maintenance information to the maintenance staff and Property Managers at the residential sites. This includes training and periodic review of monthly testing on all fire prevention equipment.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of building operations including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc and ensure all equipment and systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner and are in compliance with all applicable government codes and regulations.
  • Perform and complete all assigned duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision as per agreed schedules.
  • Attend periodically scheduled training sessions for personal development.
  • Ensure compliance with any and all applicable government regulations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss.
  • Report to the Property Manager.
  • Property Manager will outline a weekly schedule in advance with standard items. Property Manager may on a daily basis redirect the schedule based upon priorities.
  • Submit a daily time sheet to the Property Manager for a record of completed activity.
  • Work in close cooperation with residential maintenance staff and Property Managers.
  • Provide day to day maintenance support to help cover vacations and other staffing shortages from time to time as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Come dressed with proper clothing attire including safety shoes, full length pants, SKPM issued golf shirt and name tag.
