About The Position

We are looking for a live-in House Manager to support the stable, safe, and recovery-focused operation of our residence. In this role, you will be a key part of the team maintaining a positive and supportive environment for residents. While the position carries important responsibilities, it is designed to be manageable alongside your own recovery journey, with guidance and support available from the Director of Operations. Compensation is provided through a 50% rent discount in exchange for services. Responsibilities are limited to approximately 20 hours per month.

Requirements

  • Lived experience in recovery and active engagement in a recovery program strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated stability in personal recovery.
  • Strong skills in conflict management, crisis response, and behavioral health practices.
  • Familiarity with documentation systems, data entry, and basic case management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a recovery residence, sober living, or community care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of recovery residence standards and CARR compliance is a plus.
  • Experience with intake procedures and home safety checks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the residence and ensure residents maintain cleanliness of their bedrooms and shared areas.
  • Monitor adherence to house rules and report concerns or inappropriate behavior to the Director of Operations.
  • Administer resident BA/UA tests when directed and document results in OathTrack. Notify the Director of Operations of any positive results.
  • Coordinate weekly deep cleans and house meetings, reporting any absences or non-compliance.
  • Communicate household supply needs and report maintenance or repair issues to the Director of Operations.
  • Perform basic yard and property upkeep, including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Conduct general check-ins with residents to support engagement in recovery activities and daily responsibilities.
  • Assist with coordinating optional weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly house activities.
