About The Position

Assured Quality Homecare (ASQ), a nurse-owned and family-owned home care agency serving Connecticut and Rhode Island, is seeking dependable, compassionate Live-In Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide care in clients’ Rhode Island homes. The position involves residing in a client’s home during an agreed-upon rotation, providing continuous personal care and support while maintaining professional boundaries and promoting client independence.

Each 24-hour live-in day includes 13 paid working hours, 3 unpaid break hours, and 8 unpaid sleep hours. If scheduled break or sleep time is interrupted to assist the client, the time must be recorded and is paid. Candidates must be able to complete their full agreed-upon rotation, which may be a full-time multi-day schedule or a part-time weekend schedule.

Pay is $16.94 per paid hour, plus applicable overtime. The posting gives average daily earnings of $281.93 and up to $3,947.02 before taxes in a biweekly pay period for a 7-day schedule. Requirements

• Hold an active Rhode Island CNA license and satisfy Rhode Island CNA licensing requirements before working independently with clients.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have basic technology skills to complete required daily shift documentation on a mobile device.
• Be able to work independently, manage daily routines, and adapt calmly to changing client needs.
• Satisfy all background checks, health screenings, and onboarding requirements.
• Be able to complete the full agreed-upon shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
• Support client mobility, safe transfers, walking, and prescribed gentle exercises.
• Prepare nutritious meals, encourage proper hydration, and perform light housekeeping and laundry to help keep the home safe and clean.
• Provide timely medication reminders and companionship.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate daily documentation.
• Observe and promptly communicate changes in a client’s physical condition or behavior to the ASQ clinical team.
• Record completed duties and any break or sleep time interrupted by client assistance.
