Berkshires Live In Caregiver
About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring a live-in caregiver to provide home care to elderly and disabled individuals in their own homes. The organization’s mission is to enhance quality of life while maintaining clients’ dignity and independence through attentive, compassionate care. No experience is necessary; training is available for candidates with the right mindset and compassion. Caregivers have flexible, self-determined schedule options based on client availability. Live-in caregivers are paid for 16 hours of each 24-hour shift, with 8 unpaid hours of rest. Caregivers should receive 8 hours of rest at night and are provided a sleeping area separate from the client, with access to a bath or shower. Clients provide food, or the caregiver receives a $10-per-day meal stipend if that is not possible. The listed salary is $240–$360 per day.
Requirements
- Own a vehicle and have reliable transportation to and from clients.
- Home Health Aide or CNA license.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Attention to detail.
- Good time management skills.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Be respectful and compassionate.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ethics.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house.
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client.
- Assist with shopping and errands.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
- Report unusual incidents.
