This position is primarily responsible for supervising catch operations, and scheduling drivers and loads to meet production schedules. The role also involves managing truck shop operations. The supervisor will act as a liaison between Wayne Farms and contracted catching crew laborers, assist with daily catch and plant receiving schedules, and coordinate and communicate schedules to drivers and contractors. Responsibilities include projecting product weight on farms, supervising truck drivers, weigh masters, and truck shop personnel, and compiling/submitting daily and weekly reports. The role requires communicating feed withdrawal and catch times to producers and crew catchers, supervising and monitoring personnel time and attendance, maintaining fuel inventory and holding shed maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety programs, DOT, and D7I compliance. Building and maintaining effective relationships with employees and customers, supervising employee development, administering disciplinary action, and overseeing sanitation and disinfection of breeder houses are also key functions. The position ensures all USDA and animal welfare guidelines are enforced and adhered to.
