Join us and be part of our success! This role is for a Live Haul Driver in the Fort Smith Live Haul Department, working the 2nd Shift from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. The pay rate is $28.00 per hour. This position involves transporting chickens from broiler farms to the plants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year of verifiable driving experience
• Clean driving record and PSP Report
• Must have a Class-A CDL Drivers License.
• Must have no major driving violations
• Able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
• Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Live Haul experience a plus.
• This position requires a Tank Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Drives a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.
• Picks up chickens at the farms.
• Delivers chickens to live haul.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Binds and unbinds cages.
• Must comply with all D.O.T. and State driver training and documentation requirements.
