About The Position

The Live Haul Supervisor is responsible for monitoring catching operations and supervising the transport of birds from the farm to the plant efficiently.

Requirements

Supervise a team of 5+ employees
Adhere to catch schedule and coordinate with producers
Follow animal welfare and biosecurity programs
Enforce zero-tolerance policy for animal welfare issues
Monitor loader operators for safe operation
Ensure weather handling tasks are performed correctly
Control trash and prevent damage to producer facilities
Fill out and distribute load tickets
Complete and submit payroll records
Handle chemicals, vaccines, and medications safely
Maintain adequate staffing
Ensure compliance with government agencies and regulations

Responsibilities

Directly supervise a team of 5+ employees
Adhere to catch schedule as developed by the Live Haul Manager and coordinate with the producer to prepare the chicken houses for catching.
Follow all animal welfare and biosecurity programs.
Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for company employees on animal welfare issues.
Monitor loader operators to ensure they operate in a safe manner.
Ensure that any weather handling tasks are (fans, wetting birds, wrapping cages) are in place and properly done.
Control trash and damage to the producer's facility.
Fill out load tickets and give a copy to the producer, the driver and the Live Haul Manager.
Complete payroll records properly and submit to Live Haul Manager.
Handle and ensure employees handle various chemicals, vaccines and medications safely.
Maintain adequate staffing.
Ensure compliance with all applicable government agencies and regulations.
