About The Position

This role involves lifting live chickens off of a moving conveyor belt and hanging them on overhead shackles. The position requires operating and controlling the speed of the conveyor belt with a knee-controlled lever, removing birds deemed “Dead on Arrival,” and utilizing a high-pressure hose to wash empty coops and trailers. Additionally, the job includes picking up “Dead on Arrival” and loose chickens off the floor, and cleaning up feathers and other debris into gondolas or tanks.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8+ HRS) on concrete/metal grate ergo stands on the floor.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to meet company established standards.
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling motions, torso twisting and lifting of 4-10LBS.
• Able to work in a dark, dusty, cold, or hot environment.
