About The Position

Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Litigation Technology Specialist - Forensics to support data management, forensic collections, and litigation technology initiatives across the firm. This role partners with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to develop and execute data collection strategies, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the secure handling and analysis of electronic evidence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering timely, high-quality support in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing data tracking, data management, and litigation technical support functions, while coordinating assigned projects to ensure timely and effective execution. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role collaborates closely with attorneys and client technical staff to develop and implement data collection strategies aligned with industry best practices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues related to data collections; performing forensic data extractions and analysis across computers, hard drives, mobile devices, email, and cloud-based sources; and maintaining the integrity of the data and evidence room, including audit logs and security protocols. The position also involves conducting remote data collections within client environments, as well as traveling (10–15%) to perform on-site collections when necessary. The individual will consult with internal team members to support data processing efforts and may contribute to special projects as assigned. This role requires regular interaction with attorneys, supervisors, and staff across the firm, both in person and through electronic communication, and a strong working knowledge of the firm’s technology and standard IT practices to successfully carry out responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree.
