About The Position

Chariot Claims is hiring a plaintiff-side litigation attorney to drive its growing mass arbitration docket. The attorney will work with the legal strategy product team, operations team, and outside counsel to initiate, prosecute, and resolve consumer arbitration cases involving theories such as UDTP, privacy, data breach, and false advertising. Campaigns may involve household-name defendants and tens of thousands of claimants. The role requires comfort with legal technology, AI, and automation. The attorney will improve Chariot’s case evaluation playbook, partner with co-counsel on mass arbitration campaigns from pre-suit demands through settlement negotiations, provide internal guidance on case strategy and substantive filings, quality-check claimant-facing materials, and evaluate new legal theories. This is a remote position offered as part-time or full-time contract-to-hire, or W-2 full-time, with flexible arrangements.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least 5 years of plaintiff-side litigation experience.
  • Direct experience with consumer protection, UDTP, privacy/wiretapping, data breach, and/or false advertising theories.
  • Comfort with high case volume and legal tooling and technology, including AI and automation.
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and pragmatic, with the ability to make decisions quickly without losing rigor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a mass arbitration or consumer class action firm.
  • Background at plaintiff-side firms such as Gutride Safier, Lieff Cabraser, Grant & Eisenhofer, or similar firms.

Responsibilities

  • Improve Chariot’s case evaluation playbook by designing the framework, conducting reviews, and codifying it for scale and repeatability.
  • Partner with co-counsel to run plaintiff-side mass arbitration campaigns end-to-end, including pre-suit demands, notices of dispute, AAA/JAMS filings, IDRs, and settlement negotiations.
  • Serve as Chariot’s internal authority on case strategy, redlines, and substantive filings.
  • Quality-check demand letters, notice batches, and claimant communications before they are sent.
  • Evaluate and validate new case theories across consumer protection, privacy, and complex litigation verticals.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits package.
  • Two to four company off-sites per year in cultural destinations, with expenses covered for the employee and one guest.
