About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Labor and Employment team in our Encino, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law and a strong understanding of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules. You will be responsible for assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in employment law.
• Knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
• Familiarity with DFEH and EEOC claims process.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Great time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to act independently and with minimal supervision.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter.
• Type at least 60 WPM.

Nice To Haves

• Litify or Salesforce experience is a huge plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trial and arbitration preparation.
• Assist with deposition preparation.
• Propound and respond to discovery.
• Calendar and manage court deadlines.
• Prepare documents for filing with state and federal courts.
• Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, experts, and defense counsel.
• Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.
