About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join its Employment Law department. The Paralegal will work closely with a lead attorney and Litigation Paralegal to provide litigation support. The position is on-site, offering the opportunity to work alongside the team. The role involves supporting employment-law litigation from document preparation and discovery through court filings, depositions, hearings, and client communication.

Requirements

At least 2 years of work experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
General litigation experience, preferably in federal court.
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, and practices.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience.
Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program.

Responsibilities

Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
Interface with administrative agencies, including the EEOC.
E-file court documents in federal and state courts.
Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
Draft and serve summons.
Coordinate depositions.
Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court.
Communicate with clients to keep them apprised of case status and obtain documents needed for discovery.
Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
Liaise between attorneys and internal and external third parties, including co-counsel, defense counsel, and courts.
