Requirements

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys, and external partners.
  • Motivated to take ownership of your work.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and client communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior legal experience, especially in personal injury litigation, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central point of coordination for active litigation cases.
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact, conducting status calls every 30–45 days to check on treatment and provide case updates.
  • Manage litigation deadlines, including setting reminders for motions, pleadings, discovery, and court requirements.
  • Draft and file standard motions and pleadings in a timely manner.
  • Complete and coordinate discovery, including plaintiff discovery, standard discovery to defendants, and non-party discovery (e.g., cell phone carriers, defense experts, insurance carriers).
  • Prepare medical binders and organize evidence for mediation and trial.
  • Schedule depositions and mediation.
  • Verify and address potential liens.
  • Ensure all discovery is received and answered prior to depositions.
  • Delegate medical records, billing, and balance requests to the Legal Assistant and oversee follow-through.
  • Review incoming mail and ensure appropriate action or attorney review.
  • Maintain detailed case notes in the case management system in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Follow established trial preparation checklists and notify the Litigation Attorney of any case developments or concerns.
  • Close cases in the system upon final settlement or satisfaction of judgment.
