The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid and CHIP Services (MCS) Department seeks a highly qualified senior-level candidate to fill the position of Litigation Coordinator (Program Specialist VII). The ideal candidate thrives in a stimulating, fast-paced environment, manages conflicting priorities, and applies a system-level perspective to the production of excellent work. The Litigation Coordinator performs complex (senior-level) monitoring, policy and financial analysis, and oversight and coordination of implementation activities related to court actions impacting MCS. This position coordinates across multiple departments including within MCS and the agency as a whole as well as with other state agencies. The Litigation Coordinator reports to the Director of the Chief Advisory Team (CAT) in the Office of the State Medicaid Director (SMD). CAT supports the SMD by coordinating across the division and agency, providing guidance to staff and advisory duties to leadership, and prioritizing and managing the SMD’s correspondence and workload. CAT facilitates communication across areas to avoid silos and ensure agency priorities and interests progress.
