About The Position

A leading litigation law firm is seeking a Litigation Case Manager / Litigation Support Contractor to provide hands-on support to its litigation teams during a busy period, including trial preparation and trial season. This is a team-oriented position for someone who understands the litigation process and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed to help keep cases organized and moving forward. The ideal candidate has experience working in a law firm environment and understands the importance of organization, accuracy, deadlines, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a law firm or litigation environment.
  • Experience as a Case Manager, Litigation Assistant, Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with the general litigation process and an understanding of what happens throughout the life of a case.
  • Comfortable working with physical documents, including organizing and assembling binders and trial materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working onsite five days per week in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to support trial and case deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with trial preparation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on administrative and case management support to litigation teams.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing documents, exhibits, and case materials.
  • Prepare and maintain physical case files, binders, exhibit binders, and other trial materials.
  • Organize, label, copy, print, scan, and assemble documents and materials as needed.
  • Track case materials and help ensure attorneys and case teams have the documents they need.
  • Assist with preparation for trials, depositions, hearings, conferences, and meetings.
  • Coordinate logistics and assist with time-sensitive projects leading up to and during trials.
  • Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, vendors, and other members of the case team.
  • Help manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Provide additional administrative and project support to the litigation team as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the team in a shared bullpen environment and participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling sensitive case information.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the litigation team.
