Litigation Attorneys – Los Angeles (West Los Angeles)
About The Position
Ogletree Deakins is seeking experienced attorneys to join its growing presence in the Greater Los Angeles market, with a particular interest in those based in or willing to work in West Los Angeles. While prior labor and employment experience is preferred, the firm is also interested in attorneys with strong civil litigation backgrounds, including insurance defense attorneys, who can apply their litigation skills to a management-side labor and employment practice. Ideal candidates will possess significant litigation experience and be comfortable managing cases through various stages, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, handling written discovery, conducting legal research, preparing for mediation or trial, and client interaction. Requirements
- Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- At least 3 years of litigation experience preferred
- Attorneys with civil litigation, insurance defense, or other substantive litigation experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience taking or defending depositions, handling discovery, drafting motions, and/or arguing motions is preferred
- Excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills
- Strong client-service skills and an interest in developing a labor and employment practice
- Excellent academics are expected
