Kaufman Dolowich LLP welcomes applications from Attorneys with at least three years of firsthand litigation experience in hospitality, premises liability, general liability, business/commercial litigation, or related insurance defense matters. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside in or near the Houston or Dallas metropolitan areas and be available to attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other in-person litigation proceedings as needed throughout their assigned region. Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive experience handling all aspects of defense litigation matters in hospitality (preferably hotels or managed properties), premises liability, general liability, business/commercial litigation, or a related practice area
  • Experience handling litigation in both federal and state courts
  • Admitted to practice in Texas
  • Resides in or near the Houston or Dallas metropolitan area and able to attend in-person court appearances and litigation events as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Trial and arbitration experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and collaboratively to manage all phases of complex litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, handle oral arguments, and assist in trials in state and federal courts
  • Handle cases from inception through resolution, ensuring effective case development, risk assessment, and client communication throughout
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, depositions, and other litigation-related proceedings as required
