As a Litigation Attorney in our Employment practice, you will fight for our clients and win in worker rights violation cases against large corporations represented by big law firms. Attorneys are expected to take significant responsibility in litigating their own docket of cases while at the same time honing their skills through mentorship by our award-winning attorneys.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Oregon.
  • 4+ years of employment litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side.
  • Experience handling Wage & Hour Class Actions and employment litigation under Oregon employment laws (ORS Chapter 659A, BOLI, FLSA), or similar state and federal employment statutes.
  • Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and mediation.
  • Trial experience or substantial trial preparation experience is highly preferred.

  • Admission in Washington is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment litigation matters.
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other substantive legal filings.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including third party and witness depositions.
  • Handle all phases of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage cases.
  • Communicate with clients and provide regular updates regarding case status and strategy.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, as appropriate.
