About The Position

As an Attorney in our Product Liability practice group, you will play an integral role in the success of our cases, clients, and the firm. You will be responsible for conducting legal research and writing, case preparation, client communication, discovery management, court representation, compliance and risk assessment, team collaboration, meeting billable hour targets, professional development, and demonstrating commitment to firm goals.

Requirements

• At least 1-10 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation cases are preferred.
• Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to automotive liability.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• JD from an accredited school
• Admitted to practice in the State of CA.
• Discretion in handling confidential information, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough legal research and drafts pleadings, motions, and other documents under the guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
• Assists in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring all documentation and evidence are organized and complete.
• Maintains communication with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns, ensuring a professional and responsive relationship.
• Handles document reviews, prepares discovery responses, and assists in interrogatory and deposition processes.
• Appears in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials to represent clients, often with oversight from more senior attorneys.
• Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Works closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives.
• Meets assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management and prioritization of tasks.
• Attends continuing legal education (CLE) programs and stays updated on changes in the law and emerging trends in their practice area.
• Demonstrates dedication to the firm's mission, values, and growth by contributing to team projects and firm initiatives.
