About The Position

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Minneapolis office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing businesses, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial and civil litigation.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of commercial litigation or civil litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience handling complex business disputes
  • Experience managing all phases of litigation
  • Experience representing corporate clients, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, developers, or other businesses
  • Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Minnesota bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Responsibilities

  • Representing businesses, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial and civil litigation.
  • Handling complex business disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, shareholder disputes, fraud, construction disputes, insurance matters, and other commercial litigation.
  • Managing all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, written discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Representing corporate clients, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, developers, or other businesses.
  • Litigating matters in state and federal courts.
  • Maintaining significant client interaction.
