About The Position

McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is seeking attorneys to join its Litigation team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The firm has 22 offices across 12 states and 31 years of experience. Associates gain hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial, along with direct client contact. Remote or hybrid options may be considered after training and integration with the team. The position offers a membership track with defined benchmarks and a formal mentorship structure. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina or have pending North Carolina bar exam results. Compensation is competitive, with monthly bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files and establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events and provide thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
