About The Position

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Litigation Associate Attorney position. This position is a direct hire opportunity in the Tampa, FL area. The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing commercial and business litigation cases from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents. They will also conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, develop litigation strategies and recommendations, take and defend depositions, and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The role involves preparing clients and witnesses for litigation proceedings, communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel, and collaborating with attorneys and staff on complex litigation matters. Maintaining case management responsibilities and litigation deadlines is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Bar License
  • Strong legal writing and legal research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple litigation matters and deadlines
  • Professional, organized, and detail-oriented approach
  • 2 years of litigation experience
  • FL barred and in good standing
  • Defense experience is a MUST
