About The Position

Clausen Miller P.C. is hiring a Litigation Associate to join its first-party property, third-party liability, and general casualty defense practice. The associate will handle matters from initial investigation through trial under partner supervision, with meaningful courtroom and client exposure while working with a collaborative national team on sophisticated insurance matters. Associates work directly with experienced partners on substantive matters from day one. This is a fully remote position, although candidates in the Tampa area may choose to work in the Tampa office. Requirements

• Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Careful attention to detail and sound legal judgment.
• Ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a team.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or comparable experience will also be considered.
• Coverage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters from initial investigation through trial under partner supervision.
• Communicate regularly with clients and develop those relationships over time.
• Advise clients on case status, hearings, and other proceedings.
• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and status reports.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft motions and engage in motion practice.
• Appear in court for hearings and other proceedings.
